Second cut is better than the first

After an amusing first start to creating a laser cut business card, I went back to designing a new one.  Using the previous issues as a guide in late May 2011 I created a new design that fixed most if not all the issues from the first try.

If you look at the last picture, you can see the alignment is much better.    Aligned the name on the left side with the top and bottom of the other elements.  The spacing between the QR code and the bottom two elements matches the spacing between the QR code and the left side name.

Not bad for a second try.  But the only issue with these business cards is that they are too thick.  The thinnest black acrylic Ponoko has available is 3mm.  So the thickness can’t be fixed.
