Emblossed … almost

The laser cut process removes material.  But by inverting the Inkscape design, the card can take on an embossed look.   Here is an example using my standard six business card design.  I’m including the cleaned versions first followed by the raw versions.

I think they turned out quite well.  The black acrylic is shiny, and the cut away acrylic has a grey shade.  This gives it a great contrast.  The visible lines in the cut away portions are due to the laser and the heating of the card.  You cant see it from the pictures but some of them are visibly warped from the heat.  The cards look great but it took quite a bit of cleanup to make them presentable.
